Whilst in Melbourne, some friends and I did a quick trip to Daylesford. I'd heard that the countryside around was lovely, so off we went.
It is lovely indeed, and well worth the hour and a half drive from Melbourne. Sadly no pictures!
The main street of Daylesford is pretty too, a typical Aussie country town
This clothing store had interest doorhandles
And a last shot down the valley from town
We drove down to the lake, better known as the location of Alice Wolf-Tasker's Lake House, but didn't call in there for lunch. Instead we went to the Boathouse, a bit further around the lake from the more famous one. Had a nice toasted sandwich, and after all isn't that enough?
Here's a coupla views of the lake.
Lovely weather, a nice ending to an enjoyable weekend.
